Designed for homeowners, builders, and contractors, this wallbox offers safe, simple, and reliable EV charging—backed by local support, GST-inclusive pricing, and fast shipping across Australia.

What Makes EVlink Home Stand Out?

  • Built-In Safety Features & Peak Protection The EVlink Home comes equipped with an integrated RDC-DD residual current detector, safeguarding installations and helping avoid costly Type B RCDs in the switchboard. It also supports optional peak controller anti-tripping, ensuring your household appliances and EV can run simultaneously without overloading.
  • Multiple Power Options for Different Setups Choose between a single-phase 7.4 kW (32 A) model or a three-phase 11 kW (16 A) variant—ideal for varying electrical capacities and charging needs.
  • Easy to Install & Super User-Friendly Known for its plug-and-charge simplicity, EVlink Home features a user-friendly red emergency stop button and color-coded LED status indicators. Installation is quick—many electricians recommend adding a Clipsal 56-series isolator for future convenience.
  • Compact, Durable, and Weather-Resistant With IP54 protection and IK10 impact resistance, the EVlink Home is tough enough for garages or sheltered outdoor walls—no concerns in the Australian elements.

FAQs

Does the EVlink Home charger include RDC-DD protection?

Yes, the EVlink Home is equipped with an integrated RDC-DD (Residual Direct Current Detection Device) rated at 6 mA. However, it still requires a Type A RCD (≤ 30 mA) in the switchboard for full compliance with safety regulations.

What’s the difference between RDC-DD and Type B RCD for EV charging?

An RDC-DD protects against DC leakage above 6 mA and allows the use of a more affordable Type A RCD in the switchboard. A Type B RCD offers broader residual current detection and avoids nuisance trips, but is costlier.

Why isn’t a Type B RCD mandatory if RDC-DD is installed?

RDC-DD is compliant with IEC 62955 and can be paired with a Type A RCD as an acceptable alternative to a Type B RCD under IEC 61851-1 standards—helping reduce overall EV charger installation costs.

What should I check if my EVlink Home charger doesn’t light up?

First, confirm the charger is properly powered. If it still doesn't illuminate or function correctly after power verification, contact Schneider Electric support for further assistance.
